Within the past two weeks 37 different top level domains visited this free lottery!
We had visitors (sorted by frequency) from hosts resolved to these TLDs:

.za, .mil, .hu, .pl, .ie, .se, .np, .us, .ee, .hr, .pk, .id, .pt, .ro, .rs, .br, .sa,
.arpa, .my, .sg and .th !
The very wide span of different countres is amazing but we still miss enough people daily
to finally fund this project and the jackpots!

A press release shall be made public today. (See here)
LinkToFortune.com will be one week old tomorrow, this is a good time for the first snowball.
There is a constant stream of visitors coming in daily but this is still far from perfect.
News from the technical side:
The project is pretty new but the server is already burning down 5 GB of traffic daily.
This is a lot more than estimated as the images are optimized for size and will consume about 150GB per month.
Still far away from the current limits, but now it is clear that the cost for server hosting was calculated too low.

It is not hard to get a ticket but actually a real lot of people had troubles getting one!
Because of this there is now a tutorial video showing how to obtain one ticket posted on youtube.

Within 3 days more than 100 users are already participating and collecting their tickets
This is a good sign for the future.
Google still did not crawl the page, the password protected beta phase before release seems to
have triggerd some internal delay. But LinkToFortune.com is already getting hits
from all over the world and from hundrets of different sources.
Several people had problems to understand the concept, because of this where are more Tooltips and
changed button names now.
To get one ticket just list "all sites", click a link and write a summary into the new opened ticketbox
Alternatively click the "Take one free lottery ticket" button to get one random new ticket.

Weeks of changes, programming, designing and writing text have passed.

Hours of thinking, hundrets of stupid names. Finally a nice available name for this project was found!
It is important to get attention of the internet population, not the advertisers.
So the project is called linktofortune.com, because any ad/link on this website will give a free ticket to a jackpot.
The concept was refined in the last days during development of the different modules.

It takes time to think about concepts and to refine concepts.
At this time there are endless solutions for advertisement available and all of them annoy the users!
Ads based on your cookies placed in banners, ads that get placed on virtually any location you'd not expect them.
Automated scripts that replace text and changes words into advertisement links.
Ads placed by search engines into the search results.
Sponsored ads within the news immitating headlines.
Javascript layer ads that block your view and simulated windows dialog boxes or errors to trick you into clicking.
Why not try it the other way around? Let's make people search for ads and actively work with ads ?
Instead of making an ad something everyone wishes to avoid, an ad should be something good that is worth looking in.
That way users would click on ads, advertisers would receive more attention and interest and the online
experience would be better for the people!
